It’s nice to meet you

My name is Genevieve, I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Hampshire. I specialize in working with children and families who have a history of trauma or have recently experienced trauma and/or a major life shift.

I completed my bachelors degree in Psychology at SUNY Geneseo in December 2013. Shortly after graduation I moved to Boston, MA landing a dream job working at McLean Hospital with adolescent girls practicing Dialectic Behavior therapy skills. Then, made my way to New Hampshire, while working in Lawrence, MA at a private agency working on a team that practiced intensive in home therapy and transitioned within the same agency working to recruit, train, and license specialist foster care parents.

In 2017 I pursued my Masters Degree, and graduated from University of New Hampshire in May 2020. Since then, I have worked in a variety of communities in New Hampshire. After becoming independently licensed I knew it was time to step into my own practice and pursue my passion working with children and families.

Over the last decade I have worked with people in all walks of life. From the elderly to infants; in their home, in the hospital, in residential treatment, and in outpatient settings. No matter the age or location, the common thread that ties everyone together- family, and the impact our family has on us, follows us. I believe the way to obtain Long Term Healing is to work through those experiences.

The story of

Long Term Healing

My area of focus is the impact of trauma in children, adults, and families. Healing comes from either working as a whole family unit or working with the individual. In addition to traditional talk therapy, which I utilize a variety of evidenced based practices, I specialize in two evidenced based practice treatments: Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

I believe the cornerstone of therapy is the relationship and the match between therapist and client. When you step into my office (virtually or otherwise), I understand the trust you are bestowing on me. The trust of holding some of your most tender and precious experiences, thoughts and feelings.

At Long Term Healing I offer both virtual and in person therapy sessions on a limited appointment only schedule. I also offer Licensure Supervision for any NH Board of Mental Health eligible candidates.
